Davis Cooper
Davis Cooper began his career at a prestigious, nationally prominent litigation boutique representing major corporations, state governments, and prominent individual clients. After his mother was injured in a catastrophic car accident, Davis founded Cooper Masterman, a personal injury firm dedicated to providing life-changing legal help to those who need it most – injury victims. Since he founded Cooper Masterman, Davis has been appointed to legal posts by two governors, received six Top 100 Trial Lawyer awards, received five 40 Under 40 awards, and has grown Cooper Masterman into a national injury firm.

Joe Masterman
Before founding Cooper Masterman, Joe worked for an elite boutique litigation firm in Washington D.C. where he led high stakes litigation of national import. Joe served as a law clerk for Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. on the United States Supreme Court. He previously clerked for Judge Raymond M. Kethledge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and for Judge Amul R. Thapar on both the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Joe received a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A., summa cum laude, in English from Harvard College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was an editor of the Harvard Lampoon. In law school, he served as Executive Editor of the Yale Law Journal, received the Potter Stewart and Harlan Fiske Stone Prizes for his performance in moot court, and was a member of the Supreme Court Clinic. He has been selected for the Temple Bar Scholarship and the Antonin Scalia Fellowship, and his writing has appeared in the Yale Law Journal. Joe is admitted to the bars of the State of Florida and the District of Columbia.

Jon Ferris
As CEO of the firm, Jon Ferris is responsible for driving the operational excellence of the organization. With a deep understanding of both business management and structured finance, Jon bridges the gap between growth and client service. He oversees all non-legal departments - administrative, finance, operations and marketing—to ensure the firm delivers exceptional results while remaining agile in a competitive industry.

Whittington Wiman
Before joining Cooper Masterman, Whittington served as a two-year law clerk for Judge Karen K. Caldwell on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. He received a J.D. from the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law and a B.A. in English from the University of Kentucky. In law school, he served as a Production Editor on the Kentucky Law Journal and as Vice President and National Team Member on the Trial Advocacy Board. His writing on election law was awarded the Kentucky Law Journal’s Outstanding Student Note Scholarship Award, which was later published in the journal’s 110th volume.
Whittington is admitted to the bars of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the District of Columbia, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Reed Dempsey
Before joining Cooper Masterman, Reed served as Deputy Solicitor General in the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, where he focused on appellate advocacy, high stakes litigation against the federal government, and consumer protection investigations. Earlier in his career, he worked for an elite boutique litigation firm in Washington, D.C.
After law school, Reed clerked for Judge Maryellen Noreika on the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. He received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. from Bucknell University.
Reed is admitted to the bars of the State of Connecticut and the District of Columbia.
